LIGHTS, CAMERA ... YOUTUBE!

At PSCU Financial Services, our ProjectNewAge Initiative is all about helping member credit unions connect to Gen Y. Even if it requires making Internet stars out of members themselves!

That's exactly what happened last month at the PSCU-FS Members' Meeting in San Diego. Our Gen Y Marketing Team set out to create a social media event to help members better understand Gen Y and the media they use. So we gathered up our streaming media crew, headed for San Diego, where we began producing 15-second "Shoutout to Family and Friends" video clips. And who was our YouTube stars? You, our valued member credit unions.

We filmed approximately 40 PSCU-FS members. Each video was then uploaded to YouTube, after which our Gen Y Marketing Team emailed each member's family a Web link where the video could be viewed.

“We wanted to do something fun, and yet educational,” said PSCU-FS Segment Marketing Manager Susan Follick. “ProjectNewAge was created to be a Gen Y marketing education resource for members ... and we think some members learned a lot from the promotion.”

As part of ProjectNewAge, PSCU-FS is launching its new Web site (GiveMe20.com) to help credit unions connect to Gen Y through their parents. Contact Susan Follick for more information.
