FACEBOOK'S MOVE IS HUGE FOR CREDIT UNIONS

We at ProjectNewAge.com love the idea of CUs having a presence on key Social Networks. Without being a part of the Social Network, it's virtually impossible to get your CU's key Gen Y information inside the network! So when we caught wind today from allfacebook, the unofficial Facebook blog, of a move that could be huge for CUs, we couldn't wait to pass it along. Now CUs (and all companies for that matter) can directly target Facebook Gen Y'ers via site Flyers, which are just "sidebar" ads controlled by the Facebook super powers that be.

Through these new Flyer ads, you can now target Facebook Gen Y'ers by country, city, gender, age range, political affiliation, relationship status, education level, workplace affiliation or any key word in a Gen Y'ers stated interest on their profile. TechCrunch points out, a wedding planner in Salem, Oregon can connect to 100 Salemites on Facebook who just happen to be engaged females between ages 20 -40. Or how about 200 Gen Y'ers in your city that just happen to need a credit card. FYI, there are about 75 million Gen Y'ers in Facebook everyday. So FaceIt ... it's a social media outlet that your CU probably needs to target.
